TSIPRAS A HARBINGER OF NATIONAL DISASTER

Konstantinos Konstantinidis – Amphiktyon

With his new party, EL.A.S., Mr. Alexis Tsipras attempts to drag Greece back to the nightmarish days of the Civil War, of “EL.A.S. – EL.A.S. for Greece,” except that back then the children of Greece were fighting for Moscow.

It is astonishing how the Supreme Court of Greece failed to perceive Mr. Tsipras’ trap and the associations that refer to those dreadful times. No one has the right to use the title of our country, which is considered sacred, for political games — especially when such references evoke national division.

Mr. Tsipras, instead of remaining silent, has returned to the political stage in order to supposedly “save” Greece once again. The same man who:

1/ Introduced student strikes and school occupations into the educational system.

2/ As a Marxist of the Interior Communist Party of Greece, later moved into the Left of Alekos Alavanos, only to present himself afterwards as the savior of the economy.

3/ With deceptive slogans won the votes of the Greek people in 2015, became Prime Minister, and plunged the country into yet another harsh Memorandum, binding Greece for decades.

4/ Held a referendum and threw into the trash — even if mistaken — the verdict of the Greek people.

5/ Brought the economy to total collapse and led the people into poverty and economic suffocation.

6/ Handed over the name, language, and nationality of “Macedonia” to the people of Skopje and treated the massive gatherings of Greek patriots in Thessaloniki, Athens, and Prespes as a “mob.”

7/ Is once again being presented as the savior of the country, despite being a politician whom many associated with tolerance toward extremist groups and with events that scarred Athens.

8/ His government, full of scandals, disorder, and chaos, led the country to international humiliation, disrepute, and ridicule.

9/ Invited Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to officially present his claims and made the unforgettable statement that “the Aegean belongs to the fish.” Except that now Turkish fishing boats are the ones catching them.

10/ Ultimately proved incapable and unfit to govern the country.

And yet, the media continue to promote him relentlessly as a future “savior.” Heaven help us. How much lower will we descend with such a mentality?
