On the SKAI broadcast of 12/7/25 at 16.00 I listened to someone whose name escaped me as well as the journalist who interviewed him in order to advertise his concise history books. Among other things, he spoke:
1/ About the Civil War without sufficiently illuminating the causes of the armed conflict both from an internal point of view and the role of the great powers (Soviet and Anglo-American)
2/ Then he spoke about the civilizations of the Babylonians and Greeks. He said the following in summary: “The Babylonians 2,500 BC X were the first to develop civilization, they found letters, writing, discovered the wheel, medicine, astronomy, etc. From them we Greeks took them and developed them further. It was mainly distinguished by the establishment of Democracy. Here I turned off the radio to escape from the unhistorical rhetoric. If he had studied Greek prehistory, he would certainly know that:
a/ The first Civilization was created in the Aegean with its epicenter in Crete (Minoan civilization) many tens of thousands of years BC. Crete was a maritime power of antiquity and the one that first spread Civilization.
b/ 17,000-16,000 BC Dionysus and Hercules and subsequently others with the same name or with different ones (Memnon, Perseus, Pytheas, etc.) all Greeks, carried out major cultural campaigns in India, China, Japan, Polynesia, America, Europe and elsewhere and spread the Culture. Everywhere they left the Greek mark (symbols, works of art, language, naming, way of life, etc.)
c/ The ancient Cretans who were called “Eteocretans” when they crossed into Asia Minor transferred the culture to the Hittites and Sumerians and from there the culture was transmitted to Babylon. The walls and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon were built when the Greek Belus was king. The Queen of Babylon was the Greek from Pontus Semiramis, wife of the Greek Ninus who adorned Babylon with the work of the Hanging Gardens. She was succeeded by Nitocris who continued the work of the Walls and the Hanging Gardens. All of this was done with Greek architects. I could present you an entire treatise but “to be concise is to be philosophical” and “to lie is sinful”
You can excuse foreign Mishellenes, but you cannot tolerate unhistorical Greeks or those who are motivated by interest to write falsehoods, fictions and nonsense. Of course, if the journalist of the show was historical educated, she would have imposed a question or two on him to restore the truth. But this lady is “mute” and the lie is left to wander among the listeners. Goodbye to SKAI!! (12/7/25)
