Words have lost their meaning,
and modern people have lost their minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our politicians say one thing and do another;
at this rate they will drive us mad.
They say one thing and mean another,
fighting only for the ladle of power,
while caring little for the common good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While war in the East continues,
prices keep soaring.
The Greek mother no longer gives birth,
and the state does not support motherhood.
Meanwhile, some,
with arrogance mounted high,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

are the rulers of the world
and the masters of the media.
The mighty men of money,
with armies of parrots,
watch the bloodshed for amusement
and keep silent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They toss the world’s problems into a sack.
Uncle Sam threatens daily,
and now behold Artificial Intelligence,
plunging into the deep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The international community,
hesitant and timid,
struggles to keep pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These judges,
these policemen of the earth,
grant immunity to none.
Not even nurses are spared.
Doctors are killed,
as are representatives of the United Nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peace approaches timidly,
while the Straits of Hormuz
open and close.
The whole world sighs,
yet the stock market continues
to distribute profits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They cannot find a common language;
they drift aimlessly
and move backwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Israeli troops kill in Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They changed the words
and call things by different names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Massacres become
\u201cminor incidents.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The invasion and occupation
are called by the Turks
a \u201cpeace operation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An aggressive Turkish doctrine
is described by us merely as
\u201crevisionist policy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The genocides
of Greeks, Pontic Greeks,
Greek Cypriots,
Armenians,
Assyrians,
Kurds and others
are presented as epic victories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The destruction of Smyrna
is called \u201ccrowding at the waterfront,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and the \u201cBlue Homeland\u201d
is termed revisionism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fascist Islamic monster
is called
the \u201cTurkish Republic.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The leveling of cities
becomes a defensive action
against terrorism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bombing of hospitals
becomes a mistake
in targeting coordinates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The criminal is now called
an \u201centrepreneur,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

while the fraudster\u2019s identity
is carefully concealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Names are omitted;
only age is mentioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the television screen
is filled with crimes,
robberies,
and scandals involving
European funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Helpless stands the citizen
before the heavily armed criminal
and the profiteering importer
or exporter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unprecedented price increases
have turned this place
into a paradise
for thieves and swindlers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the trade in narcotics
never seems to end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What can the Police do
against the tsunami
of illegal migration?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Against overcrowded prisons
and the release of criminals
burdened with grave guilt?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps it is time
to protect the Police themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chief cause is partitocracy
and the endless struggle
for power and privilege.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
