The evil man is inevitably always evil, whether he has the material means (because he manages them badly) or not. Just as the blind man is the same, whether there is light and a bright visible light before him or there is black darkness. But the good man does not always happen to be blissful. For bliss is not the acquisition of virtue, but also its use. For when there is no light, he will not see either. Two roads are therefore needed in life, one somewhat less bright, the one that the unfortunate Odysseus walked, and the other more bright, which Nestor followed. I maintain, therefore, that virtue desires that road, but it can also endure the other. But nature proclaims bliss as a desirable and stable life, which we achieve with knowledge. So for what no one wishes to be presented to him, he is certainly not happy, but he is not completely unhappy either.

Commentary:

1/ Our ancestors gave young people positive examples, that is, successful people who had been happy, but also negative people who were unhappy in their lives to avoid. Today, they give young people negative examples with economic criteria in order to temporarily indulge them and often push them onto the path of wickedness and debauchery.

2/ The role models of the youth of the time mainly come from the USA and Britain and are selected based on financial criteria of success in a certain field of activity (music-singing, acting, sports, wealth, etc.) All have as a prize the amount of wealth they acquire without giving importance to the moral character and life of the idol. Thus, the idols of the youth are drug addicts, criminals, suicides, alcoholics, extremely unhappy people in life, etc.

3/ The final prize for acquiring Virtue and bliss is Knowledge. That is why those in power attack knowledge and inflate us with lies, dogmas, religions, myths and party quarrels.

4/ Today, despite the great technological means for the dissemination of knowledge, the media provides a dropper, on the contrary, bad people are promoted who are burdened with murders, crimes, rapes, abnormal lives, etc. Therefore, anyone who is thirsty for promotion only needs to commit a crime to be promoted by the media for a long time.

5/ But the other thing, if the teacher is not virtuous and if the state is not interested in having virtuous citizens, what can the citizen do? In a democratic state, to find the appropriate leader and the representatives to send to Parliament to represent him.

6/ When society is overwhelmed by a multitude of scandals that affect the ruling and opposition parties, then the State is in progressive decay and decline and needs change. So that another Al Capone does not succeed him. Because as the people say “the fish stinks from the head” But here the whole system is sick. Once the Army provided the solution. Now the citizen has the wisdom and courage like a young Hercules to clean his house?
