These must be cultivated in children and young people in schools. At the same time, society must act in a positive direction in order to save its young people from evil. In ancient Greece, religion was at the same time a cult but also a philosophy and an example for the individual. The gods gave positive messages to society through oracles. Today, the individual is given over to violence, debauchery, the boredom and boredom of the flat and stressful era and is unable to find a way out somewhere to balance. Its leaders became vicious, greedy, cowardly, irrational, money-loving and unable to exercise good leadership. The so-called spiritual people are silent about the suffering of humanity and often join the foolish and criminal leaders The wise rulers of the race knew that the gods did not ask anything from people because they simply do not exist. But even if they existed, they would not deal with small and insignificant things in the infinite and endless Universe. We have not seen the gods except with our imagination or in the images of the hagiographers. Our admiration for the infinite universe is great and some see with their imagination the “Being”. Others the laws of evolution. If we are informed of the Truth we will become gods, which is absurd. The celebrations, parades, games and entertainment were for the good of society and not just for pleasure. The generation of children of 1940 to which I belong, we were nationally, psychologically and spiritually armored to face what followed (hunger, poverty, bombs, executions, refugees, insecurity, etc.) that were created for us by the vicious German Nazis and the persistent Civil War. Today, we observe wealthy societies that are poor in virtue, ideals and entertainment, killing themselves daily due to mental illnesses (schizophrenia, depression, melancholy etc.) A large percentage have their own psychiatrist or psychologist and live with psychotropic drugs In the West, the Calvinist Christian Protestant doctrine developed by the French theologian John. Calvin prevailed. At the center of Calvinist theology is the omnipotent sovereignty of God and his ability to ignore the path of people either towards salvation or towards perdition. Now they have enslaved the individual to new technology and have turned him from a living being into a simple number on the world wide web I think the reason is due to the fact that: “Zeus and Dionysus have not recently passed through America.” And the Spartans built camps and trained their young men, but the Europeans did so to send people to death and gas ovens. The Hellenism of Asia Minor created the most brilliant civilization and instead of exploiting it, the Turko-Mongol state leveled it and hates the Greeks to death. But this ingratitude for the Greek providers is observed throughout the leading class of the West, even in the “Athenian state” of Greece. The Athenians issued an oracle of Artemis according to which young girls from 5-10 years old were obliged to enter a priestess (today’s kindergartens) to teach them to become good mothers. These were under the strict supervision of prudent teachers to protect them from satyrs, rapists, etc. Girls who did not enter the parthenon were forbidden to marry. They had the pure goddess Artemis as a bright and positive example and the prostitute Callisto as a negative one. (Now I remembered an excellent novel about the prostitute “Callisto” written by the late writer and my spiritual father Panagiotis Konstantinidis, with the same title in 1960, where Greek women as “priestesses” flocked to Troumba, offering their beauty to the sailors of the 6th American Fleet) The sanctuaries of Artemis were sacred parthenons, to which men did not approach, having as an example the misfortune of Actaeon (Aristaeus, coming from Cyrene, which was then Greek, to Thebes, married the daughter of King Cadmus and gave birth to Actaeon. He was raised by Chiron and took all the lessons of Medicine and Divination, but he loved hunting and that is why he had fifty dogs. He usually hunted in Kithairon and then He was resting at the Gargafia spring, sitting on a stone which until modern times was called “Aktaion’s”. One day Artemis also went to bathe and while he saw her from afar he approached her. Then the Nymphs surrounded the goddess to protect her from the profane gaze. In fact, Artemis took water with her handful and sprinkled it on him, saying “do not boast that you saw Artemis naked” and turned him into a deer. As the deer ran towards the forest, the 50 dogs chased after it and ate it. According to others, he was enraged because he wanted to take Semele as his wife and asked for the hunters’ offerings from her temple to give as a gift at his wedding) The events refer to + – 10,000 -8,000 years B.C. and at that time the Greeks had flourishing cities around the Mediterranean and were civilized. In conclusion: Greek civilization is ideal and incomparable. A complete worldview. A complete and perfect way of life. It is the closest to nature and to the human society that man has created. This today can get humanity out of its dead ends. It is sad that modern Hellenism does not honor and does not become a transmitter of its cultural heritage to all humanity (3/8/25)

*Amphiktyon Major General (retd) Konstantinos Konstantinidis Writer, Member of the Society of Greek Writers amphiktyon@gmail.com http://amphiktyon.blogspot.com/ http://amphiktyon.org Anyone who wishes to be deleted should return this with the indication “deletion” “in accordance with article 14 of law 2672/98

Written by Konstantinos Konstantinidis Amphiktyon Virtue, love for the homeland and the struggle for the development of the individual give man visions and direction towards the right path.
