Its origin is from Crete, although Pontus also claims it. And this is because Crete was, from time immemorial, the first world sea power and the first to develop Civilization, and with its ships it spread it throughout the world. This seven-stringed musical instrument, the Lyre, is one of the most refined musical instruments. Its music accompanies epics and odes since the time of Homer and continues to accompany Cretan and Pontic songs. As long as the lyre exists and plays in Crete, Greece is alive and free. But as long as the Pontians play the lyre inside and outside Turkey, Ankara should not be complacent. Pontus has not died and the current Pontians, the ancient descendants of those who have not forgotten their origin, will one day return to Pontus. Does Ekrem Imamoglu’s lyre scare Erdogan? The inventor of the lyre is Hermes. He is the first performer and controller of vibrations (frequencies). Homer describes the construction of the first lyre as follows: “While still a child, Hermes sees a tortoise grazing on the grass in front of the cave of his mother Maia. Then the idea of \u200b\u200bthe musical instrument of the Lyre was born to him from the domed shape of the shell. He put seven strings on it, as many as the planets of the seven vibrating worlds. He struck the strings and produced the first harmony, melody and rhythm. The gods were delighted but Apollo loved her so much that he kept her as his own and his brother Hermes gave her to him\u201d. These things happened thousands of years before Pythagoras by our Pelasgian ancestors. Since then, the god of music and light Apollo, by playing the lyre, has coordinated the seven (7) planets with the seven tunics of the mortal being As a symbol, the lyre with its seven harmonized strings touches the emotion and moves the seven ethereal tunics of man. The lyre pulsates frequencies that shock man with its melody, harmony and rhythm. A material object manages, by playing its seven strings, to move the visible body of man and reaches the depths of his invisible soul. The emotion is realized with the simultaneous movement of the strings of the lyre, which co-moves the strings of the human soul. It is considered one of the most archetypal instruments that forms invisible circles in the air with the seven strings. Pythagoras measured and divided by applying weights to the length and thickness of the strings with the “chordoton” of his own invention. But who can mutate the frequency of the seven ethereal tunics of man and raise his vibrations to the correspondence of the seven planetary vibrations? Apollo? No, the Dome of Epidaurus tells us. Eros in the wonderful representation of the fresco of Pausius, of which only the testimony of the symbolism from Pausanias has survived. [The so-called Tholos opposite the temple (of Asclepius) in Epidaurus is the place where the worshipers of God slept. A circular building, built of marble,]. In the fresco of the Tholos, Eros holds Apollo’s lyre in his hands and not Apollo as one would expect. The symbolic bow and the erotic arrows that Eros has are abandoned next to him. Because with the mediation of Eros, the Harmony of the functioning of the seven human tunics is restored, that is, Eros shapes the state of health and no one else has this power, not even Apollo as Pausanias alleges with the image of the fresco. But what irony! We honor the Catholic monk Valentine as the god of Eros? Eros and Harmony are children of Aphrodite, goddess of Beauty, Formation and Balance and the god of War Ares, who fights on the side of Themis (Justice) for a more beautiful and just world. Asclepius also used the lyre for therapeutic purposes, because the lyre contributes to mental harmony. Recently, it has become widely known in the world music scene and manufacturers of modern musical instruments imitate its sounds (18\/3\/25) *                                                  Amphiktyon Major General (retd) Konstantinos Konstantinidis Author, Member of the Society of Greek Writers                                                       amphiktyon@gmail.com               http:\/\/amphiktyon.blogspot.com\/                 http:\/\/amphiktyon.org"},"content":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-3256","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/amphiktyon.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/3256","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/amphiktyon.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/amphiktyon.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/amphiktyon.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/amphiktyon.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=3256"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/amphiktyon.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/3256\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":3257,"href":"https:\/\/amphiktyon.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/3256\/revisions\/3257"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/amphiktyon.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=3256"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/amphiktyon.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=3256"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/amphiktyon.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=3256"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
